Amazon Alexa can now create playlists and add songs to them whenever you ask

Alexa is now capable of building playlists as you listen to tracks streamed from Amazon Music. The feature works when you are using an Amazon Echo, or other Alexa-enabled device.

Voice commands can be used to either add the current song to an existing playlist, or create a new playlist with the current song as the first track.

To perform these tasks, Echo users can simply say: "Alexa, add this to my playlist" or: "Alexa, create a new playlist."

The feature is only available to US-based Prime Music listeners and Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers, as well as customers with the Amazon Music Unlimited Echo Plan, which makes Amazon's premium streaming service available on a single Echo device of their choice.

Alexa users who stream music from Spotify or another service are not able to ask the virtual assistant to create playlists at this time.
