Soundpeats Capsule3 Pro Wireless Hybrid ANC Earbuds Review

Over the past few months, we have tested several Soundpeats wireless earbuds. Most recently we tested Soundspeats Air3 Deluxe HS Wireless Earbuds and really liked the incredible sound experience they offered users. Also, they were lightweight and came with in-ear detection, a feature we are starting to see become common in wireless earbuds. In this review, we provide insights into Soundpeats' new Capsule3 Pro Wireless Hybrid ANC Earbuds which they sent us to test. And here is what we found.

What are Capsule3 Pro Wireless Hybrid ANC Earbuds?

Soundpeats' newest wireless earbuds, Capsule3 Pro Wireless Hybrid ANC Earbuds are in-ear wireless headphones. This means they are earbuds that come with ear tips for you to fit the earbuds nicely to your inner ear to provide a decent sound experience. The Capsule3 Pro comes with High-Resolution Audio & LDAC Codec, six clean microphones, a 12mm Driver (Frequency Response: 20Hz~40kH), Game Mode, and touch control.

The best features of this wireless earbud are the ANC and long battery life. Capsule 3 Pro come with tri-mic Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) that can provide a maximum ANC depth of 43dB. At this level, users will get a distraction-free listening and immersive sound experience. But for those of you who want to hear what's going on around you, with a simple 1.5-second touch of the earbud, you can switch over to transparency mode.

As for battery life, the Capsule3 Pro earbud comes with 8 Hours of music on a single charge for normal mode and 5.5 hours when using ANC. But overall, between the earphones and wireless charging case, users can get up to 52 hours of music or listening. This is the most battery life we have seen in earbuds from Soundpeats and any other brand of wireless earbuds.

Additional features include IPX4 waterproof rating, and works on a Bluetooth 5.3 wireless connection. It does not have in-ear detection like other brands of Soundpeats, like Soundpeats Air3 Deluxe HS. This would allow you to stop your game or music on your smartphone when you need to take your earbuds out of your ears to speak with someone.

How does Soundpeats touch control work?

All Soundpeats wireless earbuds come with touch control which is easy to use if you remember the actions of each earbud. To help simplify the controls for your Capsule3 Pro earbuds, here are the functions you can perform with each earbud and the number of touches or length of touch you need to do:

  • Clear Pairing: place both earbuds in the charging case and hold both buttons for 10 seconds. When the LEDs start flashing red and white twice, this means you have reset the earbuds.

    • Touch 3 times to put the earbuds in gaming mode

How do you set up these wireless half-in-ear earbuds?

Don't forget to remove blue tape on each earbud prior to charging for the first time.GearBrain

Setup of the Capsule3 Pro wireless earbuds is just like all the other Soundpeats earbuds we have tested, quick and easy. Just unbox your earbuds and make sure they are charged. If you are not sure how much power is available, you can check the app or the front of the wireless charging case. Based on the color of the LED light on the case, you will be able to determine battery life.. If it is green, you have 50-100% battery life. If the LED is yellow, then you have 10-49% battery life for your earbuds. And if the LED is red, you need to charge the case with the earbuds in them because you have less than 10% battery life. Also, before charging, make sure you remove the blue tape on each earbud. The tape covers the earbud's battery sensors and needs to be removed prior to charging your earbuds.

Once the earbuds are charged and the Soundpeats app has been downloaded and the account opened, you can now pair them with your mobile device as long as it is compatible with Bluetooth 5.3. The app will allow you to adjust the sound level and mix for the earbuds as well as keep track of your battery life, adjust noise reduction, and disable the touch key one-click functionality.

In the Soundpeats app, users can adjust the sound using the app's EQ features as well as switch between modes and control sound levels.GearBrain

How much do Capsule3 Pro earbuds cost?

The Soundpeats Capsule3 Pro wireless earbuds have an MSRP of $79.99 but are on sale for less. Right now, Soundpeats is running a special sales event. You can get a 20% off coupon + 10% off code (QG6UCCG2) on Capsule3 Pro wireless earbuds on the company website and Amazon. This is a great price for Bluetooth wireless earbuds with Hybrid ANC and long battery life.

Performance

We have tested many inexpensive wireless earbuds in the past couple of months. Some cost over $100 and others go for less than $50 a pair. The Capsule3 Pro earbuds performed as well as the more expensive wireless earbuds we tested. The touch controls were a little sensitive and there was no in-ear detection. However, the Hybrid ANC was excellent and since the Soundpeats app can help you find the right mix, these wireless earbuds sounded great, especially when streaming videos on our mobile devices.

The Capsule3 Pro are in-ear wireless earbuds which means they come with ear tips. Soundpeats provides 6 different sizes of ear tips for you to choose from to bet the best fit. They are comfortable to wear for periods of time but we did have issues with getting the right fit when exercising. Sometimes the earbuds became loose when running.

As for the sound on either end of the earbuds, it was acceptable. Calling with ANC mode is best way to communicate with the earbuds. The person on the other end will hear you loud and clear. When on Transparency mode there is some background noise so be aware.

Overall, Capsule3 Pro provided a great sound and had exceptional battery life. 52 hours of music playing when using the wireless charging case is impressive. Most earbuds with wireless charging cases provide 25-30 hours of playtime.

That's a pretty good deal.
