Press Release:

Garden Grove, Calif. - September 12, 2016 - The Tracker Now team will be previewing its innovative Tracker Now device, the first globally capable, small tracking device for people, pets and things. Visit Tracker Now in Start Up Alley in the Sports and Travel section at Tech Crunch Disrupt in San Francisco this week.

Tracker Now is so small it can be hidden in a pocket, carrying case, pet collar or in a variety of business items. Manufactured in the USA, the IoT enabled Tracker Now is the first and only tracking device to feature a global tracking range, extended battery life and a waterproof casing. The device includes an alert speaker, geo-fencing capabilities, and a powerful processor and SIM card. The compact Tracker Now device arrives compatible with an Android or iOS-compatible app, so users can instantly pinpoint item locations on a satellite-view map. For advanced security, users can draw a geo-fence and be alerted if the tracker ever leaves a defined area. Additional web browser functionality provides tracking of items when a smartphone is unavailable.

Also previewed will be the Tracker Now Board, an open sourced advanced IoT framework, which features an Arduino compatible programmable BLE tag with a full support library. With the addition of open-source API functionality, the technology can become a comprehensive mobile monitoring solution with cloud-based data management.

Smart BLE tags can enable numerous monitoring functionalities such as temperature, wind, humidity, heart rate, and oxygen levels. Any smart BLE tag supported by Arduino, becomes an open-source electronic prototyping platform - supported by Tracker Now. Once tags are written, they are uploaded via cell signal or Wi-Fi to Tracker Now Cloud Services, where data can be stored, analyzed and managed. Automatic alerts based on data collected are also part of the new cloud feature rollout.

Availability

Tracker Now will be fulfilling its Kickstarter preorders and begin shipping in December. Tracker Now devices can be customized for a variety of OEM applications. The open-source advanced board with API functionality will be available to other IoT developers in Q4 2016.Also previewed will be the Tracker Now Board, an open sourced advanced IoT framework, which features an Arduino compatible programmable BLE tag with a full support library.
