Tuesday August 21 (that's tomorrow) at 2 pm GearBrain's editors are going to talk all about smart security cameras on Facebook Live.

We know security is a big concern among renters and home owners — particularly around how to secure your space, and if you can bring these systems with you to your next home. While some security devices are hard to uninstall, others are extremely simple — and connected security cameras, those that tie into smartphones and even other security networks, fit this bill.

For our next 30-minute show we're going to tackle the big questions we hear from readers around security cameras, and if they make sense in their home. Questions from:

  • How smart security cameras differ from security cameras of years past
  • Price ranges
  • If you can, or cannot, install them yourself
  • What is a field of view, and why you should care
  • How to tie cameras to voice speakers, video doorbells and smart locks

We'll have actual security cameras on hand including the Canary Flex, Honeywell Lyric C2, Reolink Argus 2, Samsung Wisenet Smartcam (which is a 350 degree camera), Swann Security Camera and the Conbrov mini camera.

We'll also be talking about Vivint's outdoor camera, Logitech Circle 2 and Blink cameras from our past reviews on the site.

Tune in with questions — we'll be there to answer.
