I love this time of year! There is nothing like March Madness and rooting for my alma mater when they make it to the big dance. This year I am lucky because my team, Seton Hall Pirates, made it to the NCAA Tournament and can't wait to watch them. And with the help of Xfinity, I can now use voice commands to help me keep track of my team as well as all these nail-biting buzzer beaters.

Thanks to Xfinity engineers, subscribers will be able to use voice commands to tune into 67 college basketball games packed with a whole lot of cheering, buzzer beating three-pointers, surprising upsets, and inevitable triumphs. These new voice commands work with the X1 Voice Remote and are the largest number of smart home voice commands ever created by Xfinity for a single sporting event!

What You Need:

First, you'll need to have the Xfinity X1 Voice Remote and either the xFi Internet or Xfinity Home service. Second, you'll need color emitting lightbulbs, from either LIFX or Philips Hue, which you connect to your home network with either the xFi or Xfinity Home mobile app. Bulbs can be purchased online for under $50 each. Once you pair the bulbs with Xfinity Home or Xfinity xFi, you'll be ready to light up your living room with your favorite team's color(s) in true superfan fashion.

Time to Light it Up!

Next, grab your X1 Voice Remote and say, "Xfinity Home + Go + (your favorite team's name)." For example, say, "Xfinity Home, Go Villanova," and you'll see your connected lightbulbs automatically turn blue and light blue. Say, "Xfinity Home, Go Iowa State," and the lights will turn red and gold. Don't worry, no matter which team you're rooting for in the tournament, our engineers have got you covered. In fact, they programmed all 68 teams into the experience! See the full list below.

In addition, X1 customers can use their X1 Voice Remote to access all the action and more using these commands:

Say "College basketball bracket" to access a full screen takeover of regional or full tournament standings.

Say "College basketball" to go to the tournament destination in the X1 Sports Guide, a comprehensive destination for all related programming, news, highlights, events and more.

Say "Minnesota Golden Gophers" vs. "Louisville Cardinals" for game summaries or how teams facing off stack up against one another.
