Pro: morphs easily into a watch

Con: battery-operated, but lacks charging option

Glamorous jewelry is one way to shine, but keeping active and getting a good night's rest can get you there too. With that in mind, legendary crystal maker Swarovski partnered with wearable firm Misfit and its activity and sleep tracker Shine. Now, you can get the sparkle of Swarovski and the magic of Misfit carefully crafted to fit together like peanut butter and jelly. But fancier. And better for you.

The Swarovski Shine collection is among the first of its kind combining the glamour of jewelry with the function of Misfit, which collects a wearer's activity data and transfers the information to its app for you to monitor your progress. But your Swarovski-envious onlookers? None the wiser.

The attractive Misfit device fastens onto a Swarovski wristband, pendant, or studded slake bracelet. You simply set the device to your personal fitness goals, and halos of light will show your daily progress, letting you know where you are at meeting your target. Double-tap your Shine and it becomes a handy watch, synced to your mobile device — pretty easy to use. Plus, Shine is compatible with most current Apple products, many Android devices including Samsung Galaxy S and Note 3, Google Nexus 4 and 5 and BLE-ready Windows Phones running software 8.1 and above.

When you are done with your day, or whenever you want to catch a glimpse into your progress, you can sync your Shine activity tracking crystal to your smartphone's touch screen. There's no need to charge the device since it's battery operated. (A charger option would be useful, although the battery lasts at least six months.) You can even print out the data and hang it on the fridge for motivation.

The Misfit crystal device is lightweight and unassuming, yet gives your look one of luster and luxury, just like Swarovski always has. It feels comfortable to wear all day and never seems clunky or out of place. Prices range from under $100 to $200+. This perfect pairing is sure to appeal to anyone chic, unique, and who wants to keep their fitness monitor looking sleek.
