Once the window panel is in place, locate the vent hose and snap one end onto the back of the AC unit. Then, snap the other end into the cutout on the window panel. This process is quick and tool-free—just align and click into place.
To prevent insects and warm air from leaking into the room, follow the guide’s instructions for placing the non-adhesive foam seals around any small gaps between the window and the panel.
Important: Ensure the AC unit is positioned at least 20 inches (50 cm) away from walls, furniture, or other obstructions to allow for proper airflow and performance.

After testing the Dreo Smart Portable AC319S for several months, I can confidently say it’s one of the better mid-tier smart portable AC units I’ve used—especially when it comes to ease of use, smart features, and overall performance.
Noise Level & Operation:
One of the first things I noticed was how quiet the unit is during operation. That said, no portable AC—smart or not—is truly quiet if placed right next to your bed. While the AC319S runs quietly, I wouldn’t recommend positioning it too close to your sleeping area if you're a light sleeper. There is a “sleep mode,” but be aware this only affects the operating schedule, not the blower noise level. Still, for a portable AC of this size and power, it performs impressively on the noise front.
Mobility & Design:
The built-in wheels and side handles are a big plus. They make it easy to move the unit between rooms or adjust its position without much effort. I also appreciated the bright LED display, although it could be a little too bright for some at night. Installation Experience:
The setup process was smooth and straightforward. The window kit is designed for sliding or hung windows, and it was easy to install. These kits are readily available on Amazon for around $17 to $25, but it’s something to keep in mind before purchasing.
