Three phones, two watches and earphone all expected on August 11

Samsung is to announce a whole range of new Galaxy-branded devices on August 11, including three new smartphones, two watches and a pair of earphones.

That is according to the renowned (and often accurate) technology leaked Evan Blass, who posted a series of gifs to Twitter showing off the unannounced products.

The tweets were posted on July 10, and not only do they show each product, but also each color option for the new devices. Blass, tweeting as @evleaks, has established a strong track record in recent years for posting information about, and images of, unannounced tech devices.

But even by his standards this is a significant story, partly because of the depth of information but also because it comes a whole month before Samsung is set to make the announcement.

Blass first posted gifs of a pair of folding Samsung phones. These appear to be the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The former follows the same basic design of the previous two versions of the Z Fold, which have a vertical hinge and open like a book. According to the leak, this handset will be offered by Samsung in white, green and black.

Next came the Z Flip 3, which has a horizontal hinge and opens upwards to reveal a tall screen, much like its two predecessors. This was shown off in purple, black, gold and green color options. There is no word on the specifications of these phones for now, but it has historically been the case that Samsung considers the Fold Z as its folding flagship, and the Flip Z has a lower price, albeit still more expensive than other members of the Galaxy handset family.

As well as the pair of folding phones, Samsung is said to be offering a traditional handset called the Galaxy S21 FE, which stands for Fan Edition. Samsung has used this name before, with a version of the Galaxy S20 that came a few months after the regular S20 and had a lower price. Shown by Blass in white, yellow, purple and black, the S21 FE shares much of its design with the S21.

After the smartphones came gifs showing a pair of new and as-yet unannounced Samsung smartwatches. These appear to look like the rumored Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and Galaxy Watch Active 4, both of which Samsung is expected to reveal soon. The former, a more traditional-designed watch as its name would suggest, is shown in white, black and gray, while the more sports-orientated Watch Active 4 is shown in gray, green, white and peach.

As with all of these products, it isn't clear if this is the entire color range, or if more are to be offered by Samsung. We also don't know at this stage if all colors will be available in all regions.

Lastly, Blass shared gifs of the rumored Galaxy Buds 2 wireless earphones. These were shown in gray, green and black, and closely resemble previous leaks of the Apple AirPods Pro rival.

Samsung has held Unpacked product launch events in August before, so there is no reason to doubt that Blass' claimed August 11 date is accurate. We look forward to seeing how accurate the leak is, what the features of these various devices include, and if Samsung has any surprises still up its sleeve.
