Everything You need to know about Tapo Smart Home Ecosystem

Today, another smart home ecosystem is coming to market to help provide a seamless home automation and monitoring solution for smart homes. Tapo, a TP-Link brand and global provider of smart home products, today announced the expansion of its smart home ecosystem with three new products, the Tapo H100 Smart Hub with Chime, Tapo T100 Smart Motion Sensor, and Tapo T110 Smart Contact Sensor. Together, these new additions work seamlessly to provide real-time monitoring, instant alerts, and custom actions triggered by opening a door or passing by a motion sensor.

By pairing the Tapo H100 with additional Tapo devices, users can set smart actions based on daily routines to efficiently monitor and control their home in real time, making everyday tasks easier.


Tapo H100 Smart Hub with Chime

The Tapo H100 is the central control hub for the Tapo T110 Smart Contact Sensor and Tapo T100 Smart Motion Sensor. With the ability to connect up to 64 devices, the Tapo H100 is the key to creating a more comprehensive smart home ecosystem, enabling Smart Actions for sensors and other Tapo devices.

With the Tapo H100, users can trigger a Shortcut or control Tapo devices such as smart plugs, lights, and switches based on sensor detection. A 90dB ringer with 19 different ringtones notifies users of motion or an open door/window. Additionally, the Tapo H100 is highly resilient, and even when the network is disconnected, it can still execute Smart Actions for sensors and other Tapo devices.

The Tapo T100 smart motion sensor is designed to detect motion within a 120-degree field of detection and up to a 23-foot range. Once connected to the Tapo H100 and a secure 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, it can activate scheduled routines and Smart Actions through the Tapo App in combination with other Tapo smart home products.

Potential uses include automatically turning on hallway or bedroom lights as users walk by or setting a custom time frame to activate the Tapo H100 alarm and send notifications whenever motion is detected. The Tapo T100 is easy to install, with an adjustable body and customizable detection range options of 9.8 feet, 16.4 feet, and 23 feet.

Tapo T110 Smart Contact Sensor

The Tapo T110 smart contact sensor is the perfect solution for real-time monitoring of windows, doors, cabinets, fridges, mailboxes and other items that can be opened or closed. This device is an excellent addition to the Tapo H100 and a secure 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, which communicates with the hub via Sub-1G Low-Power Wireless protocol.

With extended battery life and a broader coverage area compared to Wi-Fi, users can receive instant alerts on their phones when a door or window is unexpectedly opened. Users can also program the Tapo H100 to activate a siren to warn of danger or deter intruders. The Tapo T110 sensor can also trigger Smart Actions, such as turning on the lights when opening a door.

These three new additions to the Tapo smart home ecosystem offer a comprehensive, easy-to-use home monitoring and automation solution. With seamless integration and customizable features, users can enjoy greater convenience, comfort, and security in their daily lives.
