Apple has sent out the invites: the big fall event where the company reveals its latest iPhones and other gadgets is set for Wednesday Sept. 12th from the Steve Jobs Theater on its new campus in Cupertino, Calif.

What's on deck? We expect potentially three new iPhones: two of which 9to5Mac says will be called the iPhone XS, one that will be a 5.8-inch OLED phone and the other a 6.5-inch OLED phone. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had already made predictions on both of these, which will continue with the current iPhone X design — including the notch, Apple's facial recognition technology FaceID to unlock the phone, and no home button.

Kuo has also said there's a third iPhone as well — a 6.1-inch smartphone but with LCD technology and just a single rear camera, but not 3D Touch nor wireless charging which will make the phone less expensive. This version is also said not to have 3D T ouch, Presumably all three are an update on the $999 iPhone X, to date the most expensive iPhone Apple has ever released.

There's also signs that 6.5-inch iPhone will also come in a gold color, as well as a standard black and white. The smaller iPhones are rumored to be getting a rainbow of new color options: grey, white, blue, red and orange. All of the iPhones will run iOS 12, which is currently still in beta.

The newly minted $1 trillion company loves a splashy preview, and its invitation for the Sept. 12th is a golden circle with the phrase "Gather round." While that's part of a line from the Beatles song, "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away," it could also be a toss to the round shape of Apple's campus as well.

Apple is also expected to be launching Series 4 of its Apple Watch, expected to have larger screens but still retain the 38mm and 42 mm sizing. There are also reports that there is a new iPad coming which would also have FaceID, a new MacBook Air and a Mac mini as well.

Apple's event is scheduled for Wednesday Sept. 12 at 10 am P.T. Pre-orders of these devices would be expected to start within days.
